Capt. Simon's Co. Volunteers (Etiwan Rangers)

Historical Notes:
Simon's Co. (Etiwan Rangers)- part of the 1st Regiment S.C. Mounted Militia it seems. The Company was commanded by Keating Simons, Sr. and included several members from St. John's Parish (outside Charleston). Simon's Co. was tasked with with guarding Heyward's Landing on James Island - some 40 miles from St. John's Parish. Officers:
