South Carolina 6th Infantry Battalion

Historical Notes:
The South Carolina 6th Infantry Battalion was organized in December, 1861 with five companies, later reduced to four. The unit served in the Department of South Carolina, Georgia, and Florida, then in September, 1862, merged into the 26th South Carolina Regiment. Officers:
