The 3rd Regiment, New Jersey Militia was organized at Trenton, N.J., and mustered in April 27, 1861. Left State for Annapolis, Md., May 3, 1861. It Reported to General Butler May 5, thence moved to Washington, D.C., arriving May 6. At Meridian Hill till May 24. The regiment Occupied Arlington Heights May 24. OFFICERS:

    Duty on line of Alexandria & Loudon Railroad till July 16. Advance on Manassas, Va., July 16-21. Battle of Bull Run July 21 (Reserve). Mustered out July 31, 1861. ROSTERS:
