2nd Maine Regiment Veteran Infantry

HISTORICAL NOTES:

The Maine 2nd Infantry Regiment evidently saw 3 reorganizations. The first enlistees were for 20 days, then 2 years, then 3 years. The two names found on this roster were apparently from the expiration of the two years service. The men who had not finished their terms of 3 years were transferred to the 20th Maine Infantry Regiment.
ROSTERS:

The composite rosters of this unit contain the names of 2 men.
