HISTORICAL NOTES:

Milligan's Independent Company of Cavalry was organized at Wilmington, Del., for 30 days' service July 15, 1864.
OFFICERS:

ASSIGNMENTS:
  • Assigned to 3rd Separate Brigade, 8th Army Corps, Middle Dept. Patrol duty from Middleburg to Hanover July 14-18.
  • In Defenses of Baltimore till July 30.
  • Moved to Middleburg, and patrol duty about Middleburg, Liberty, Hanover and Westminster till August 10.
  • Ordered to Wilmington, Del., August 10, and mustered out August 15, 1864.
    • ROSTERS:
    The composite rosters of this unit contains the names of 96 men.
