Full Title: Soldiers of Florida in the Seminole Indian-Civil and Spanish-American Wars

From the Introduction to the 1903 edition:

For a number of years it has been evident that steps should be taken to put in permanent form the rolls of Florida's soldiers, if the names of these men were to be recorded in history and the memory of their honorable service preserved to future generations. Attempts by camps of Confederate Veterans to secure and preserve the rolls known to be in existence met with indifferent success. R. E. Lee Camp No. 59 of Jacksonville, was one of the most successful to gather up any appreciable number of rolls, but unfortunately these, with all the other archives and relics of the War Between the States, were destroyed in the great fire of 1901.

This CD-ROM edition of the Soldiers of Florida is in PDF (Adobe Acrobat Reader) format and includes our index to Florida Ciivl War Soldiers - 60,000 names in all, plus some additional genealogical and biographical information.
