First published in 1882 in journal form, a Brevet Brigadier-General describes events of the Civil War--battles of Stone's River and Chickamauga, the Siege of Chattanooga, and the battles of Chattanooga, Lookout Mountain and Missionary Ridge. Of special use to researchers is the organization of both armies at the battle of Chickamauga showing member units of each brigade.
